Breaking Your Cigarette Addiction with NLP
Education January 28th, 2008NLP helps in breaking the smoking habit because by removing of this habit the person remains healthy. NLP training is very helpful in leaving your addictions. There are three types of smoking habits; the first one is that you smoke for relaxation and pleasure. When you were a baby and you became worried, his mother would put a nipple in his mouth to distract him that upset.
NLP practitioner will get distracted, become more peaceful, and often fall asleep. That sequence of events was repeated hundreds of times, so that your unconscious mind has been set: When something goes in your mouth, you get relaxation and pleasure from it. The second one is that smoking is a conditioned response. Here is exactly how this is conditional response programmed into your subconscious: If a person smoke a cigarette and drink a cup of coffee while, the mind takes a snapshot of the cigarette in the hand, and that the ties with the cup of coffee.
Thereafter, each time the person has a cup of coffee, the unconscious mind fills in the missing part of the picture. It flashes a picture of a cigarette, the smoker and gets a craving for one. The third one is there is a physical addiction to nicotine. After having worked with several thousand people for smoking cessation and are doing life coaching course, I assure you that the physical addiction to tobacco is the weakest part of smoking addiction. Indeed, I believe it is only ten percent of the offence. I think ninety percent of smoking is the parts mental and emotional.
