Have you ever wonder where all those people you involve in buying used cars would be if this business was not there. When you buy a car you create an income for at least two people directly and hundreds other indirectly. Also you give our government some income which is later used to provide services to you. A used car will need the following thus creating employment; fuel, service, licenses and others. So it will create employment and income to the gas station staff, the civil servants, insurance staff and the mechanics. The money they get will later benefit other people as landlords, shop staff and owners, transport providers and many others.

Used cars sales directly create employment for the salesmen involved, mechanics used to assess its performance, the advertisers, the guards and the insurance companies. In each case there is a multiple trickle down benefits to other beneficially. This business line employs millions of people directly or indirect hence it one of the core businesses in any sound economy.

We can say correctly that used car dealers enjoy the bulk of benefits from the used cars business. In all angles they stand to gain. From the sale or purchase, spares sales and fitting, customization of cars and even on acting as proxies.

So we should not look at used cars with contempt but we should appreciate the benefits they present to us and our economy. Pollution is a down side but the positives exceed them. Let’s continue buying used cars and help put food on the table for many families.
