My buddy and I found four used pseries servers in a dumpster out behind the local computer shop. I told him that I had seen where these could be worth some serious money. We dove in and pulled all four of them out. I figured that we could sell them on one of those auction sites on the internet.

I took the pictures and tried to figure out all of the information about them by reading the stickers that were on them. I also did some research online about how much they should be worth. I did not want someone bidding too low and not paying for what they were getting.

We went back to the dumpster that next night, and found used ibm printers and keyboards. I knew that someone somewhere was looking for exactly those things, even if they were only wanted to part them out. I did not set the reserve on them as high as the used pseries servers, but they all were being bid on, in about twenty four hours time.

I had set the auctions for the used ibm pieces and the servers to last about three days. I did not want to wait too long for my money. We sold everything total for about ten thousand dollars. We were happy with the outcome.
