I used to wear funny t shirts to school every day when I was in high school. It was part of my reputation of being the class clown. The teachers and the students looked forward to reading my cool t shirts every day. Once in a while, I would wear one that offended someone and I would have to go and talk to the principal who kept some plain t shirts in his office just for me.

When I graduated, I wore one of my funny t shirts under my gown and when I went on stage to get my diploma, I opened my gown so everyone could see it. I figured that I could not get sent to the principal’s office anymore, so what the heck.

My mom kept most of the cool t shirts that I used to wear, after I moved out and got married. My wife was shocked to see how many that there were. She told me that they had to stay at my parent’s house, those were for kids.

My son just turned sixteen and I called my mother to have her send the cool t shirts from my past, out to us, to see if my son would like to wear them. I will have to take a few out, the ones that I know the teachers will not like but for the most part, I think he will get lots of laughs from his dads old t shirts.
