The public school system that we know today developed during the 19th century after every state declared that school attendance is compulsory for any student that wishes to get a formal education. But, the most interesting question is if public schools can impart such superior education, why the states made it compulsory and forced the parents to put their kids into the public school arrangement. From this it is clear that the parents were not willing to accept the public school system for their children.

At the moment, with deteriorating standards in the quality of education, you may have to compare the pros and cons of private and public schools with home schooling before opting for any arrangement. Home schooling would be the best option for your child if you want him to develop into a finer individual. But, it is possible only when you will be able to motivate your child to fabricate better results. When we consider a variety of circumstances and situations, home schooling is far higher than the public or private schooling. 

It is a proven fact that the reading and writing abilities of students is exceptional in a home school environment and they score high test scores than their counterparts in public and private schools. Also, the home schooled children have attended prestigious universities and colleges which are not easy to get into.  Another factor to consider is the costs of home schooling for a student is low when compared to private or government schooling. However, you may have to spend more time with your children or you may have to appoint a teacher for home schooling. So, make a decision after researching the merits and demerits of the educational system.
