Posted by Sanjaya on February 3rd, 2010 I am wondering how laser tooth whitening works since it does not actually scrub the tooth or paint it like those products that are in the store. I have heard of people evening bleaching their teeth to have whiter teeth and obviously that is explained in the name of the procedure.
My family dentist offers the laser tooth whitening but I heard that it is expensive. I may just ask one of the dental assistants about it next time I am in there for my cleaning or for one of the kids. If they can explain to me exactly how I works and if you have to keep going back or not to maintain the whiteness then I might consider it if the price is not too outrageous.
I know that my dental insurance will not cover it since they would not even cover the bill from my family dentist for my daughter’s retainer. Apparently anything that they consider cosmetic is not covered and I am sure that laser tooth whitening is a cosmetic procedure. My husband might not want to go along with it but since he had no problem paying for the breast augmentation surgery that I had last year, this should be a drop in the bucket compared to that.
Posted by Sanjaya on February 2nd, 2010 The only time that I have worn footie pajamas, is when I was in college. There were a few of us that were from the south and not used to the cold winters of the north. My parents had warned me that it was going to be cold and snowy in Michigan but I had always thought that snow was pretty. Little did I know that when it is negative twenty degrees, that snow does not look pretty anymore.
My mother sent me a care package in December, right after the first snow hit and when I opened it, I found a pair of footie pajamas for me and my roommate who was also from the south. My mother’s note said that she had to do some serious online searching to find the pj’s for us and actually there are a set of toddlers pajamas out there that match ours. I guess that we were wearing what was part of a set for a family to get footed pajamas for everyone including toddler pajamas with feet in them with little white snowman all over.
Every year after that, which was my freshman year, my mother would go back to the same website and pick out my roommate and I’s footie pajamas, for the next winter.
Posted by Sanjaya on January 27th, 2010 I think that when you type sell wedding ring into a search engine it has to be one of the most depressing days of your life. I had to do this four years ago and even though I got top dollar for my ring, it was not any easier. I used the money to pay off my divorce lawyer and to make my down payment on my own apartment which I had to get after the house sold and we did not make a profit.
I hope to never put sell wedding ring into the search engine ever again since I really never plan on getting married every again. All my friends tell me that if the right guy comes along then I will change my mind but hopefully before I do something that stupid again, I type sell engagement ring into the page. I could handle getting engaged and then calling it off before the big day as long as I get to keep the ring.
Four or five of those sell engagement ring deals and I could have enough money to put a decent down payment on a small house. I hate apartment living, I hate being alone and I hate having to think that maybe the money will not last this month.
Posted by Sanjaya on January 19th, 2010 I have been thinking about joining a Scottsdale coed volleyball league that I heard about from some friends. They all have been on it for a few years, but this would be my first. I am not really good at volleyball, but I think that I can hold my own.
I called and made sure that there are all levels of people who join the Scottsdale sand volleyball league and apparently there are. This makes me feel better about signing up, at least maybe not everyone will be tons better than me on the team. I am not sure if my friends are really competitive and would not want someone on their team who is not a fantastic player or not.
All in all this could be a really nice way to get some fresh air and meet some other people. I guess that my friend Jenny that is always talking about how much she loves the Scottsdale coed volleyball league met her boyfriend there and they have been together for about eight months now. They would be on my team, if I choose to go ahead and be part of the Scottsdale sand volleyball league. I could only hope that I might get as lucky as Jenny and meet someone special there too.
Posted by Sanjaya on January 12th, 2010 I needed to find an inexpensive company to get affordable life insurance from. I have heard of horror stories where people are put through these extensive physicals and then find out that they do not qualify for the life insurance they were looking for.
I am pretty sure that I am going to go with no medical life insurance even though I think it may cost me a little bit more than if I went through a physical exam. I heard from a couple of my friends that they found a company online that takes your information, like the state you live in, your age and what you are looking for and then finds you different companies quotes to look at.
I am going to contact that website and also my parent’s local insurance agent and get as many quotes for affordable life insurance as I can. Since I am only requesting quotes for the no medical life insurance, it should not take too long for me to receive them all back and make my decision on which company to go with. I am hoping to have my new affordable life insurance in place by the end of the month, when I start my new job.
Posted by Sanjaya on January 4th, 2010 I want to price a new pos system from the company that I found online that sells new and used point of sale equipment. I am pricing it both ways, just in case I can actually afford to get a brand new system and have it installed in my shop. I have been using the same old cash register and credit card reader for the last twenty years and in order for me to be able to save a few extra pennies if people use their debit cards, I need the type of card readers that allow them to put in their pin numbers.
I have exactly ten thousand dollars saved up for a new or used pos equipment system but a friend of mine told me that she spent over twenty thousand dollars on her. I think that she actually has four cashing out lines, and I have just two so it is possible that if I only need half the equipment, it will only cost me half the money.
If it seems that even a used point of sale equipment system is going to be more than ten thousand dollars, I just may put off my plans for another few months and shop around for a cheaper brand. I was only looking at the used pos equipment because many people told me that it is the best brand out there.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 31st, 2009 The only way that my boss would okay some new servers in our office, is if we found a good company to sell us some refurbished used servers in great shape. I laughed at him and wondered where we would find anything that he would approve. My secretary told me that she knew of some place online where her friends office had gotten some used poweredge servers that were really nice and that were really cheap.
The last thing that I had ever thought about when I went into his office to ask for money for new servers was that I would be sifting through websites looking for used servers with my secretary. After she called her friend, we were able to get the name of the site that they had used. There were in fact tons of different used servers but we needed used poweredge servers and we needed them fast.
We found some on a different page of the website right before we were ready to give up and the prices were really good. We emailed the whole thing upstairs to the big boss and within two hours, he had placed the order for the used servers and we had done what I thought would be nearly impossible, we beat the boss at his own game. I know that he never thought we would find such great deals on some really good products.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 30th, 2009 The computer department downstairs has requested that the entire office attend a meeting in the conference room today. I had already made an appointment for that particular time and was just hoping that maybe I could get out of the meeting by telling them that I had something else to do. My boss told me that I needed to reschedule the appointment I had and attend the meeting because it was very important.
As the entire office crammed into a room that could hold twenty people max, I found a good seat. No one wanted to sit up front, but I figured that I should since I had already given up enough to be here and it better be good. I got the just of the meeting right away when the computer guys showed us the cost of new servers compared to used hp servers. We were all wondering why we would need to know all of this and then they said it. In order for them to order even the used proliant servers, we would all have to cut back hours and give up the pay.
I bet that you could have heard a pin drop when they said that. The only other option to get the money was to start laying people off. No one wanted to see anyone lost their job but we needed the used hp servers to continue running efficiently. The used proliant servers we had installed ten years ago were on their last leg, so we all voted to take a cut in hours to buy them.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 28th, 2009 My only hope of keeping everyone on staff is to cut hours and cut down in other places. I have already informed my staff that there is no money for a Christmas party this year and the bonuses that they are used to will be a lot less than in the past. They all completely understand and would rather have a job to come to everyday than have to file for unemployment.
I was very proud of them when they started to find ways to cut down on office expenses. They found new cleaning supplies company and cancelled the order from the old place that was actually charging us double of what the new one would. I asked them how they broke it to our old cleaning products company and they said that it was easy and they understood because a lot of their accounts were starting to buy from online cleaning supplies sites.
The amount of money that they have projected we will be saving with all the new ways they have come up with to cut our spending including the cleaning products savings is enough to keep everyone on full time for now. If sales were to drop anymore though, we may have to reconsider taking pay cuts.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 28th, 2009 For two years, I have used the same office supply company that my father used when he was in business. He always told me that they had the best prices in town and also the fastest delivery service. I know that those facts may have been true many years ago, but it seemed that with the internet there are many other options available to people today.
I found a company that offered all of the same office supplies that I currently use but for about forty percent less than what I am paying. I know that the new online companies cannot drive the order over within an hour but with this amount of savings, I can afford to buy more of the office supplies to keep stocked up and therefore need less frequent deliveries.
I thought that the setup sounded pretty good and was getting ready to place my first order when my father just so happened to walk into my office. I explained to him that I could save a lot of money by choosing to go with this online office supply company but he was not too impressed. He asked me how I would feel if people decided to choose an online accountant that could save them money. He still thinks that by shopping locally, you keep your company and many others, running more smoothly.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 22nd, 2009 I would rather not have to hire someone to help me with my reputation, because you would think that I should be able to handle that all on my own but this is not the case. I have done some things that were not too smart and now need help in restoring the image that I once had in the public’s eyes. I think for the most part, they used to think that I was a good person but these recent things that I have done probably make most women hate me, and the men thankful for not being me.
I found ReputationManagers.com online and they are currently coming up with a plan to turn my image around. They have informed me that this campaign will definitely take some time but that I should just have faith, keep my nose clean and eventually, people will move onto someone else to be interested in reading about.
I know that ReputationManagers.com is right about the whole thing, especially the part about staying out of trouble. If I cannot give the reports anymore ammunition, then they will hopefully get tired of talking about me day after day. Or at least I can hope that they will. ReputationManagers.com has a lot of experience in these situations and I trust them completely after they gave me a list of some of their other clients.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 21st, 2009 I was happy to find that our computer technician guys came in over the weekend and made all of the necessary improvements that we had talked about last week. A few of our associates were having trouble with their routers, so we had purchased some used cisco routers to take their place. I knew that the used cisco ones would do the trick because it had worked for me and my router problems last month.
When I called and requested ten new used cisco routers from the cisco repair shop they asked if we needed help with installing them. I let them know that my computer team would handle it if they could just get them to my office by Friday. They had not arrived when I left on Friday so I figured that they would have to wait till the following weekend but I was wrong.
If we ever need any other routers replaced in our office at least we know which cisco repair shop to call to have them brought over. The used cisco brand is one that has never failed us and hopefully never will. If my computer guys come in today and tell me that they were easy to install, that will be one more reason to use them.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 16th, 2009 In the phone book under Raleigh home remodeling, is a list of too many contractors for me to call. I decided that maybe I would just check out the ones that had their websites next to their listings in the phonebook. That list was considerably shorter and I was able to find a Raleigh home remodeling company to handle my bathroom remodeling at a good price.
The bathroom remodeling that I had put off for many years had to happen this year because my husband family is coming to visit in three months. They have never seen our home and I would not want them to see the bathrooms the way that they are now, I would be very embarrassed.
I was having granite and porcelain tile installed into our guest bathroom and just granite in the master bathroom. I would like to have the porcelain tile also, but I can just not afford to do it in both. Maybe in a few years, I can go back and have the Raleigh home remodeling company come back and add the tile to my bathroom when I can afford to.
I am excited to see my husband’s family and I am glad that the bathrooms no longer look like they are from the seventies like they did just a month ago. I know that since they have never been here, they will not know the difference but I will.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 15th, 2009 I found out this morning that I was not approved for the mortgage on the Greek property. I knew that in today’s market and the way that the banks are holding onto their money, that it was a long shot. I had applied anyway, because I thought that there may be a small chance that I would actually get the money for the Greek property.
Since it did not work out, I am thinking of trying to purchase the Italian property that was offered to me on land contract. At least I know that it is a sure deal and I will finally get a second home to vacation to whenever I want.
I had promised my wife that before we turned forty that we would have a second home in some other part of the world and I think that since we are both thirty nine that I should get it done so that I have held up my end of the bargain. Although I know that Greece would be her first choice, I do not think that Italy is anything to sneeze at. When I hand her the keys, she will not care, as long as it is ours.
Posted by Sanjaya on December 9th, 2009 I saw at a convention last week the coolest website. This company had their website up on this huge screen and when you would mouse over something, it moved. There were even these boxes that spun. I had never seen anything like it and I do not think that anyone else had either because their booth was very crowded.
I later emailed the company and asked who had built the site and they responded that their whole office had contributed to it. I did not think that my office was that talented. They said that they started with one of the SWiSH templates and then with everyone’s input, they customized it to work with their company. They said that some knowledge of Photo Shop and or Dream Weaver is a good thing. They told me that it really did not cost very much either. I would think that a site like that would cost somewhere in the thousands. I figured that if it did not cost a ton of money, our office should give it a try.
We all sat down and looked at the SWiSH templates and considered all of the SWiSH designs before making our final decision. We collaborated on the whole project and we did it. I was shocked at how easy it was to use the SWiSH designs but my office did it, so I know that anyone can do it.
